[h=1]Police need help finding Johnson City woman missing since May 18[/h]

On June 6, police began looking for Sebia Archer, 46, who is commonly known by friends and family as Sheba. Archer was last seen in the Cherokee Road area of Johnson City on the evening of May 18, police said in a news release.

Archer is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 148 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Family members say Archer was last seen walking down Cherokee road in Johnson City headed to a nearby gas station. It was at that gas station where family members say Archer got into a car with an unknown male.

“They said that she was getting into a dark colored older model vehicle with a gentleman,” Valorie Houk said.

Last week Archer’s daughter Valorie Houk told us her mother had last made contact with a family member through text messages.

“He received a text message from her at 8:25, simply said I’m making this for supper and she said good because she was hungry, she was going to the gas station and she would be right back home and she just never returned,” Houk said.

The last text message that Mike Hensley got from his cousin Sheba, on May 18, reads, “Lov u.” “It makes me emotional,” Hensley said.

He’s emotional that he hasn’t been able to get ahold of his cousin since, despite multiple attempts to text back.

He was expecting his cousin home for dinner that night but she never came. Sheba was staying with him at the time of her disappearance.
She was last seen at the Shell gas station at the corner of Cherokee Rd. and Southwest Ave., not far from his home.

Sgt. Mike Adams with the Johnson City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division said investigators are, “….at a dead end as to where she may have went.”

Police believe Sheba got into a multicolored car with an unidentified man at the gas station but they still don’t know who he was or if she knew him.
“We’re concerned for her safety, her own family hasn’t heard from her. There [have] been no sightings that we’re aware of,” Sgt. Adams said.

Details of Disappearance
Archer was last seen leaving a gas station at the Shell gas station at the corner of Cherokee Road and Southwest Avenue in Johnson City, Tennessee at 8:30 p.m. on May 18, 2017. She got into a multi/primer colored sedan with a tall African-American man with a slender build. She appeared to be in good spirits at the time and not in distress. She has never been heard from again.

The last text message Archer's cousin got from her on the day of her disappearance simply said "Lov u". She was staying with him at his home at the time of her disappearance, and they were expected to have dinner together that night, but she never showed up. She was reported missing in early June, after no one was able to get in touch with her.

Although it's not uncharacteristic of Archer to accept rides from people, her cousin doesn't think she would have gotten into a car with someone she didn't know. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear.
