With 40 months to go, Trump holds re-election fundraiser
    Associated Press |Wednesday, June 28, 2017
WASHINGTON ó First-time candidate Donald Trump got a late start on fundraising in 2016, holding his first big-ticket donor event only five months before Election Day. That won't be the case next time.
Some 40 months ahead his next election, the president holds court at a $35,000-per-plate donor event Wednesday night at his hotel in Washington. About 300 people are expected to attend an event that will pull in about $10 million, said Lindsay Jancek, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee. [Ö]

    Bloomberg: Trump Will Win Reelection
    Posted: Jun 22, 2017 7:50 AM

Given the deep divisions within the Democratic Party, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg believes President Trump will win reelection in 2020.
“The incumbent always has an advantage,” Bloomberg told CNN.
“And the Democratic Party is going to be torn apart by the left and the centralists,” he added. “Now, the Republican Party is also being torn apart between the centralists and the hard right, but they've rented a candidate. The candidate has rented a party, and they will probably without much fuss get behind Donald Trump, I would assume, assuming he runs for reelection.” […]

For Trump, a never-ending campaign turns a healthy profit
The “first presidential candidate to run and make money on it”
    June 28, 2017
If there’s anything President Donald Trump loves more than his business empire, it’s being a candidate on the campaign trial. Wednesday night, he’ll combine both roles as he hosts his first reelection fundraiser, the earliest of any sitting president.
The fundraiser, which people have paid anywhere from $35,000 to upwards of $110,000 to attend, will be held at Trump’s second residence along Pennsylvania Avenue — the Trump International Hotel.

    The Crazy Left’s 4-Step Strategy To Ensure Trump’s Re-Election In 2020

Embarrassed, angry, and confused, the Left is simply doubling down on the behavior and the rhetoric that drove large numbers of Americans to vote for Trump in the first place.

In contrast, Obama began fund raising in April 2011 for his 2012 campaign. A year and some change. Not this 4 years early BS. WTF.

Mixing Business And The Presidency, Trump To Hold Fundraiser At His Washington Hotel
    June 27, 2017 - 5:00 AM ET

When Trump Victory started sending out invitations four weeks ago, it announced the price points, but kept the venue secret until a prospect had RSVP'd.
"There's nothing flat-out illegal about it, but it's pay-to-play," said Richard Painter, former White House ethics counsel in the George W. Bush administration and a critic of Trump's ethical standards. "The appearances are terrible."

Trump trashes media, cheers wins at $10 million fundraiser
    June 29 at 5:33 AM
    […]
Although this was Trump’s first major-donor event, his re-election campaign has been steadily raising money since the day he was inaugurated, mostly through small donations and the sale of Trump-themed merchandise such as the ubiquitous, red “Make America Great Again” ball caps. The campaign raised about $7 million in the first three months of the year, according to Federal Election Commission reports.
The RNC also is benefiting from the new president’s active campaigning, having raised about $62 million through the end of last month. The party has raised more online this year than it did in all of 2016 — a testament to Trump’s success in reaching small donors.

Campaigning is the only thing he knows how to do. It's the only thing he likes to do. People pay money and cheer for him, listen to him say stupid stuff and tell a lot of lies. It's the perfect job for him.
