This case speaks me out as a border crossing hopeful. No respectable trendy US person would have such an outdated phone, so I'm guessing this was a fresh off-the-border foreigner that died after crossing the Rio Grande trying to achieve the famed american dream. Identity may be difficult but not impossible.

Yes the phone seemed off to me especially with her modern clothing style.

That may be, but there are also plenty of missing Hispanic women who are already living in the US. Even if she's not from the US, this woman had a clothing style that friends and family may recognize (Not many women can pull off leopard-print jeggings with a plaid tie at the waist shirt with cut out shoulders-- and that sassy "Not my problem" tee says she had personality, IMO)

Here are a couple possibles:

Concepcion Sagastume, 34, missing from Sarita Texas-- only an hour away from Brooks County and last seen wearing black and pink sneakers: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/36330/

Bianca Carrasco, 29, missing from San Antonio: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/33941/
