The Volusia County Sheriffs Office is investigating after human remains were found in Osteen on July 2.
Deputies were called to a property on Oak View Farms Road around 9:30 a.m., after someone mowing the grass made the discovery.
The area is secluded and rural, with mostly dirt roads.

Deputies found what appeared to be a real human skull along with a backpack and clothing.

From reading articles it seems that only skull was discovered on the side of the road near the house even though some articles state "remains".
In April/May 2012 deceased body was found on the same road by motorcyclist. I wonder if it is anyway related. Well, if not related in some way, then what a strange coincidence.

PS: just found further article that body from 2012 was murder victim and involved with pot growing operation in the area.

I can't find this person listed in Namus. The only case from Osteen is a black male found in 1992.
