Found Safe NY - Alexandra Finnefrock, 24 & son, 2, Holley, 6 Jul 2017

Deputies in Orleans County are searching for a missing mother and child.

In an alert, the sheriff's office says 24-year-old Alexandra Finnefrock and her 2-year-old son Joseph Theo Williams were last seen on July 6 at 4 p.m. at Finnefrock's father's home on Fancher Road in Holley. She left in a silver 2006 Toyota Corolla with Florida plates.

Finnefrock has not been heard from since.

Deputies say Finnefrock may have been in the Rochester area since she was last seen.

Deputies describe Finnefrock as 5-foot-8-inches tall with blond hair and blue eyes with tattoos on her arms and legs. Her son is 38 inches tall and 40 pounds with curly brown hair and a birth mark on his chest.

Police have found the car of the young woman who has been missing with her two-year-old son. The father of the missing woman says police told him the car was found on the west side of Rochester with two flat tires.

“We found the vehicle but we did not find her or Theo," said Amanda Sparrin, a friend of Alexandra Finnefrock. "So it makes our minds wonder, a lot quicker now. It’s a race against time. We need to find her and find Theo.”

WHAM-TV is reporting that U.S. Marshals confirm that Alexandra Finnefrock and her two-year-old son Joseph Theo Williams were located in Rochester area home on Bay Street on Tuesday evening.

WHAM is reporting that Finnefrock, 24, is in custody and is now facing charges in Orleans County. The boy is being reunited with family.

Glad Joseph is safe.

Finnefrock has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, said Orleans County Undersheriff Christopher M. Bourke. She was committed to Orleans County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail and a temporary order of protection was issued for Joseph, who was turned over to family members.

During the hearing, Finnefrock agreed to undergo a substance abuse evaluation. An order of protection restricting access to her son was modified, now allowing her to see the toddler provided there's no offensive behavior. Police tell us the child's father currently has custody.
