The Michigan State Police Negaunee Post is requesting assistance in locating L. M. W., 28, and Eric Scott Ruska, 37, after receiving a complaint of two missing persons.

The last known contact with the missing persons was reportedly on Sunday July 9. They were believed to be in the Chicago Lake area in Delta County.

The investigation is continuing, as the search involves multiple agencies and areas throughout Delta, Alger and Marquette counties.

W. and Ruska may be traveling in a Black 2006 Chevy Colorado with a Michigan registration of BVB 7631. The vehicle is reportedly very rusty.

This is a bad man. I do not have a good feeling for a positive outcome.

They also tell us police have located a trailer and boat that belong to Eric Ruska. The family member also told us Eric and L. work at the same place and that he has a past history of kidnapping women, where he allegedly drugs them, rapes them and keeps them for a certain amount of time.

According to the Michigan Department of Corrections Offender Tracking System, Eric Scott Ruska, 37, pleaded guilty to Criminal Sexual Conduct – third degree and kidnapping in Alger County back in 2004. The alleged incidents occurred in December of 2003.

He was sentenced to 10-15 years in prison. Ruska was released from prison in December of 2015.

In the middle of Hiawatha National Forest? The U.P. is incredibly beautiful, but FULL of woods and many desolate areas. He could have taken her so many places, or even stayed right around there and it could take forever to search.
Let's hope he follows his own pattern and only keeps her for 'a certain amount of time.'

How horrible! It sounds like the police are working hard on the case.

Important to note, the truck in the photo is the same style but apparently the actual vehicle is quite rusty.

Day 3 of W., Ruska search involves dive team
Peterson says the dive team is using side scan sonar equipment Wednesday on murky Chicago Lake.
"Typically, for a missing person case, we wouldn't allocate these types of resources, but it's become more serious as time goes by and these people haven't been found," he said. "And so we've taken it very seriously and the utilization of resources through our district headquarters has been approved."

I wonder if LE thinks they drove into the water or if they're looking for her body?

Eric Ruska's 2003 victim: 'He is a very, very dangerous person'

The woman says she was 16-years-old in 2003 when Ruska, who was her manager at work, took her to a Christmas get together. Instead of taking her home, the 24-year-old Ruska brought the teen to a Limestone Township camp where he sexually assaulted her and then drove her around in his truck, refusing to take her home. After nine hours, Ruska decided to bring the teen home, where she called police.
..
Under a plea deal in Alger County Circuit Court, Ruska was sentenced in June 2004 to 10-15 years in prison on one charge of kidnapping and one charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Ruska was released from prison in Dec. 2015. The state sex offender registry says Ruska now lives in Rumley and works in Wetmore.
He was also arrested back in 2002 and charged with three counts of first-degree CSC. Each of those counts carried a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Under a plea deal, he was convicted of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and sentenced to nine months of immediate jail time and two years of probation. His sentence began Jan. 23, 2013. The Limestone Township assault happened on Dec. 23, 2003.

From same link:

The 2003 victim says she believes Ruska is doing something similar again with 28-year-old L. M. W., a current coworker of Ruska's. Police have been looking for W. and Ruska since Monday morning.

"He is a very, very dangerous person," said the victim. "Totally unstable and dangerous. People definitely need to keep an eye out and call police if they see him."

The victim says Ruska gets women to be comfortable around him and then lures them into situations where they can't escape him.

"I definitely do not have a positive feeling about it because it's following his pattern," she said. "I pray to God she's okay. It makes me sick."

Not sure which county's scanner any communication would be on.

If you click the menu on there, a list comes up.
I *think* Chicago Lake is in Delta county but I am not sure. Even if it is, would that be the county investigating?
Anyone know?
