Could this be a Soviet "silent coup" attempt on our government?

I know, I know. Talk about a conspiracy theory.

But you know what? How many of you have lately had the thought "This sounds like the plot of a Tom Clancy novel?"

    Here's my theory:

Trump goes to Russia in 2013 wanting to take his beauty pageant there. He meets with "important Russians" - meaning rich Russians. Rich Russians are mostly all buddies with Putin.

Trump is well assessed by the Russians. He is found to be a rich, sometimes-charismatic but always thin-skinned seeker of power, money, and admiration. He is also found to be naïve in the subtlety of international affairs and to be totally lacking in any knowledge of history. But, he is found to hold strong, if unfounded, political opinions and had once expressed an interest in running for president.

Trump gets to hold his beauty pageant in Russia and in the process gets to know a Russian businessman whose son is a pop star. The pop star continues contact with members of Trump's family over the ensuing years.

Now comes the time that Trump announces his candidacy for president. Does anyone think Putin's ears didn't perk up?

Putin surely does not want to see Hillary as president. Putin would like Trump as president because he knows he can out think him in a New York minute.

    So.......

I used to think the Trump presidency was like a James Bond novel with the evil megalomaniac taking over the US with his cast of evil henchmen. Now it is like a comic book. They are beyond ridiculous. Not clever or smoothe.

    More like Scooby Doo villains

Why would Putin want Trump to win the election over Hillary when Trump has been for more American oil production which harms Russia's oil revenues?

The reduced oil revenues have made Putin's goals for a stronger military very difficult to achieve. He would have liked a "green" Hillary presidency much more. Higher oil prices would give Putin what he wants. Money to build a more modern military. JMO

The clever and smooth characters are the Russians. They're taking advantage of the bumbling, greedy cartoon characters. Bannon, Spicer, Hannity, the Trumps, etc... all screwballs.

Putin is an evil henchman and there's nothing he won't do.

There are many answers to why he wouldn't want Hillary Clinton to win the presidency, but most of all it's not something he could have orchestrated even if he had. She (and her people) are far too intelligent and experienced. Trump was an easy target.

Who knows how long Putin has been waiting for someone like Trump to land in his lap?

Reduced oil revenue from increased American oil production is hurting Russia more than sanctions.

Russia will plunge into recession next year under the weight of lower oil prices and western sanctions over Ukraine, the economy ministry warned.
Gross domestic product is expected to shrink by 0.8%, a sharp reversal from the earlier official forecast of 1.2% growth for the year.
Alexei Vedev, the Russian deputy economy minister, said: “We now assume that sanctions will remain in place throughout the whole of 2015. This for us means closed capital markets for the majority of Russian companies and banks, as well as unfavourable conditions for investment – uncertainty and a lack of security.”

If this was a Russian takeover, why did't Obama do anything about it?

And why did Loretta Lynch ok a special visa for this Russian lawyer ?

Sounds more like a coup orchestrated by the Dems for setting up the GOP, in my opinion.

    ,
The visa was approved because the lawyer was defending a money laundering case against..........yes, a Russian.

And Obama was supposed to reign Trump in? Not Trump's fault, that he and his campaign were communicating with Russians? Now it is Obama's fault, for not stopping him?

Unbelievable, the ends that Trump supporters will go to defend him. It is not enough that they have defended his rude, crude and vulgar behaviour and now blame Obama for his traitorous actions.

It always goes back to Obama. Remember there were people convinced he would suspend the Constitution and serve a third term? This is his sneaky way of doing that.. woo woo.

So, Katy, do you have an explanation why Trump's team had so many contacts and meetings with Russian officials during the campaign?
Why do you think that would be? How are you blaming the Democratic party for this?

The Dems were also communicating with Russians.

The Dems were also colluding with foreign governments in order to collect Opposition research. But no one worries about them doing so.

This was a fusion corp. set up and many people know that. Trump did not collude in any big conspiracy to tamper with the election process,

There are lots of reasons that people meet with foreign nationals. The Dems did the same thing. This is just manufactured outrage to try and bring down this administration.
