I'm surprised that CP24 is the only news outlet that has reported on this and only in the vague article provided in the OP. :waitasec:

The family of a missing 28-year-old woman is reeling after her body was found near a Brampton creek.

And learning their loved one, now identified as Kara Lynn Clark, was murdered only adds to their heartache
The slain woman’s family members, including one of her brothers and a sister, have been expressing their grief over their loss on social media.

Eva Clark posted on Facebook that she is “heartbroken” in the wake of her sister’s death.

Friends describe the Timmins native — who worked at a grocery distribution centre near Pearson Airport — as a soft-spoken, hard-working and responsible young woman.
Anyone with information related to this investigation should call Peel’s Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau at 905-453–2121, ext. 3205, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

That's an interesting post on the morning of July 16th.

You're like an indian summer In the middle of winter Like a hard candy With a surprise center How do I get better Once I've had the best You said there's tons of fish in the water So the waters I will test

Domestic issue? Break up? Jealous ex? Was she with a "new fish" on the evening of the 18th and the "old fish" had a problem with that?

Yes, she indicates that on her post. And then posts a file of what I'm thinking may be her singing that verse...

So something on July 16th, two days before she disappeared, prompted her to quote and sing that verse. From a song about moving on to a new lover but thinking of an old one. What was it?

on CP24: police said that Kara's body had obvious signs of trauma.
