King, nicknamed Burt, never strayed too far from his apartment on Scott Lake Road in Waterford, or from Bingo City, where he's worked as a cook for the last four years.

His boss says King hasn't missed a day of work since he started.

During his shift on Friday, his boss says King seemed tired after working his side job laying asphalt. "He was in so much pain I sent him home ... His roommate was going to take him home." But King's roommate says King chose to walk home around 7 p.m. that night. He appeared out of it and hasn't been heard from since.

[h=1]Missing Waterford man Gregory King discovered dead[/h]
WATERFORD TWP., Mich. - A missing Waterford man has been discovered dead.

Gregory King's body was discovered Wednesday not far across the street from where he worked, Bingo City on Dixie Highway according to police. His body was found behind the Marketti School of Cosmetology on the other side of the street.

There have been no details yet as to how King died but investigators say it appeared that he had been dead for a few days. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to determine his cause of death.

This completely breaks my heart. It sounds like he walked out of work feeling sick, collapsed, and his body laid there for days. I hope he didn't suffer.

How odd! He left his work place, crossed the street, and died behind a school there? Did he have a heart attack?

RIP Burt!
