    Missing men,
    51 Division,
    Selim Esen, 44,
    Andrew Kinsman, 44

    Friday, July 28, 2017

Officers from 51 Division are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of two men from the Church Street and Wellesley Street area.

Selim Esen, 44, was last seen on Friday, April 14, 2017, in the Bloor Street and Yonge Street area.

He is quite familiar with the Church Street and Wellesley Street area, and frequents the Ted Rogers Way area.

He is described as 5’10”, 150 lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, full beard. He was often in possession of a silver suitcase with wheels, a photograph of which is attached.

Andrew Kinsman, 49, was last seen on Monday, June, 26, 2017, near 71 Winchester Street.
There has been some suggestion, within the Church/Wellesley community, that the disappearances of Andrew Kinsman and Selim Esen are linked as well as with three other men reported missing from the same area from 2010 to 2012. Detailed investigation and evidence obtained, thus far, in the course of both investigations, has not confirmed a link although, as part of the police investigation, this is being considered. The disappearance of both men is considered suspicious. It is out of character for both, as is the absence of communication with people they were habitually in contact with.

A dedicated team is in the process of being established to allow officers assigned to these investigations to concentrate solely on the disappearance of these two men.

Also posted on the Andrew Kinsman thread.

“There has been some suggestion, within the Church/Wellesley community, that the disappearances of Andrew Kinsman and Selim Esen are linked as well as with three other men reported missing from the same area from 2010 to 2012,” Toronto police wrote in a news release Friday.

“Detailed investigation and evidence obtained, thus far, in the course of both investigations, has not confirmed a link although, as part of the police investigation, this is being considered.”

Despite this, police say both disappearances are being considered suspicious.

“It is out of character for both, as is the absence of communication with people they were habitually in contact with,” police said in the release.
In the case of Selim Esen, police say he’s known to frequent the Ted Rogers Way area and is familiar with the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood.

He is described as standing five-foot-ten, weighing about 150 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair and a full beard.

Esen was often in possession of a silver suitcase on wheels.

Police say both men were active on social media dating applications.

Anyone with new information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

OK so why are we only finding out about Selim Esan now? He was last seen in April. I saw this story on the news this morning and have to wonder WTH is going on? Is Selim gay? Does he work? If so, were his employers worried? Who reported him missing?

I notice that both men have beards, are somewhat dark and hairy. Could be a preference for some perp.

Also, where does Selim live? The bulletin tells us he is familiar with the Church and Wellesley area and frequents the Ted Rogers Way area. So that's Jarvis North. Frequents Ted Rogers Way? What does that mean? That he travels through that way? Does he go to Sherbourne Station that way? Does he live in the apartments over there?

I'm trying to find his social media. There are many men with the same name. I'm guessing he is Turkish.

Although the cases are not verified at this time to be connected, all the men missing from that area in the last number of years, seem to be bearded, imo, speculation.

Selim Esen was last seen in the area of Bloor Street East and Ted Rogers Way at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 15.

Andrew Kinsman was last seen on a Monday as well.

OK his last seen time is wrong in this link. In the TPS bulletin has it as FRIDAY, April 14th. So days don't match up with Andrew.

So Friday, April 14th was Good Friday and many places would have been closed.

I wonder if TPS had the original date wrong on their bulletin from May? This would make people think back to the wrong date.

Andrew Kinsman, 49, was last seen June 26, and Selim Esen, 44, was last seen April 14.

Police are treating both cases as suspicious and say their disappearances are out of character.

There’s currently no evidence that the cases are connected or that foul play was involved, police said. However, officers will be running “parallel investigations” so that they can share information. Officers assigned to these investigations will be taken off their other caseloads.

“It allows the investigators to dedicate their time and resources to solving these cases,” said police spokesperson Meaghan Gray, who said they “can’t exclude the possibility” the cases might be connected.

Gray said officers are also working with a homicide investigator to review information.

Three men linked to the Church and Wellesley community were also reported missing between 2010 and 2012, and never found. Police said they haven’t found a connection to these older cases, but are not ruling out that possibility.

Checking if this is okay to post, but this person seems to be the same man who is missing, described as a Barista, having worked as such in Turkey and in Australia. imo, speculation
