" At least seven people are injured when a vehicle crashes into a crowd of people in the Mid-Wilshire area.

[FONT=&quot]The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Pico Boulevard. Six of the people injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to LAFD. One person was listed in critical condition."

Collision in intersection sent car crashing into restaurant patio.

"Two vehicles collided in the intersection of Pico and Redondo boulevards after one blew a red light, according to Los Angeles police Sgt. Dwayne Wilson.The impact sent one car into the sidewalk, he added, striking a group of people dining in a restaurant patio."

"One victim, a 44-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, the Department said.

Three victims, a 18-year-old woman, a 28-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, were transported in serious condition and four other victims were transported in fair condition, the Department added."

A van plowed into a crowd of people Sunday afternoon in the Mid-Wilshire area, injuring at least nine people, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

t least 11 people were injured when a vehicle crashed into bystanders Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CBS News.

It was not immediately clear if the crash was intentional.
The driver of the van remained at the scene.

One of the drivers was taken into custody. (accident then / drunk/drugs??) The driver came out of the van and appeared disoriented, Crump said. He jumped back into the van, prompting witnesses to hold him until authorities arrived, AP writes.

8 taken to hospital after car plows into crowd in Mid-Wilshire area

“At 3:47 p.m., there was a traffic collision that occurred at Pico Boulevard and Redondo (Boulevard), one of the vehicles went up into the sidewalk into a building and 10 people were injured,” plus one of the drivers, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Herrera, a spokeswoman.

Van strikes diners on LA sidewalk, 8 injured

A witness to the crash told The Associated Press the van jumped a curb and careened into a group of people eating outside The Fish Spot restaurant in the city's Mid-Wilshire neighborhood. Courtney Crump said several victims were pinned under the van and that one man had severe head injuries. He said witnesses held the driver until authorities arrived.
