"The Ugly History of Stephen Miller's "Cosmopolitan" Epithet

I had no idea what this term meant. But I knew this Miller guy has been considered to be a zealot.

"One reason why “cosmopolitan” is an unnerving term is that it was the key to an attempt by Soviet dictator Josef Stalin to purge the culture of dissident voices. In a 1946 speech, he deplored works in which “the positive Soviet hero is derided and inferior before all things foreign and cosmopolitanism that we all fought against from the time of Lenin, characteristic of the political leftovers, is many times applauded.” It was part of a years long campaign aimed at writers, theater critics, scientists and others who were connected with “bourgeois Western influences.” Not so incidentally, many of these “cosmopolitans” were Jewish, and official Soviet propaganda for a time devoted significant energy into “unmasking” the Jewish identities of writers who published under pseudonyms."

Ironicly, Miller physically strongly resembles Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

The part about the poem being put on the statue after it was placed is part of the white supremacist script.

Here it is being discussed in June of 2016:

Kersey, who runs a racist blog called Stuff Black People Don’t Like, hailed Trump’s address as “one of those speeches that our grandkids will study if things go our way,” congratulating Taylor for having a major party’s presidential candidate champion the anti-immigrant ideas he has been peddling for years.

“He came through with a speech that I think was nothing short of brilliant,” Taylor said. “I don’t think anybody in the entire alt-right could have written a better speech for him.”

“It was a complete repudiation of ‘The New Colossus’ that was regrettably placed on the Statue of Liberty in 1903,” Kersey said of Trump’s speech, referring to the Emma Lazarus poem welcoming “your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Trump, he added, wants to make America’s immigration system resemble “a high-end club as opposed to a cheap roadhouse where American liberty is routinely, I won’t use the word I want to use, but it’s raped on a nightly and a daily basis. It’s such an exciting time to be alive.”

FACT: Only 19.41% of total US Citizens made the effort to place their vote for Trump, and he won. GET OUT AND VOTE!

Emma Lazarus wrote "The New Colossus" specifically to raise money for the Statue of Liberty's pedestal. #learnyourhistory
