He has a dog (who lives elsewhere) who he loves very much.

He is also speaking of "going through with court" (in a comment under July 28 post).

He also says about himself that he loves texting, so it's even more concerning that he hasn't at least texted his family for over three weeks.

Oh man what did he have to go through at his age already? Dentures, ileostomy, other surgeries? I read through his facebook and he seems a kind and loving person. He loves his dog so much. I wish he was found.

Family hires private investigator, offers reward, in August disappearance of Bakersfield man

Boykin's adoptive mother, Diane Boykin, 53, said he has a number of medical issues, is learning disabled and has the mental age of an 8-to-10-year-old. She said he had been using drugs, and court records show he failed to appear in court on a drug possession charge.

She said she believes others convinced him to use drugs.

"He wants friends, and they're not his friends," she said.

The last text she received from him said he didn't like the people at the house and had left, Diane Boykin said. The message didn't seem like something he would ordinarily write, she said.

Since then, David Boykin hasn't contacted any relatives, posted on Facebook or withdrawn money, she said.

I hope he is ok somewhere. Good they got a PI on board. No bank account activity doesn't sound good.

He has the mental age of a 8-10 year old, he was using drugs under the influence of others, then he disappeared from the house of those people that he didn't like. Doesn't seem like this will have a good outcome.
