If female, perhaps it might be Theresa Lockhart from Portage (1h 14min. car drive)?

    The bones have been identified.

Human bones found in the Grand River last month have been identified as belonging to a man who went missing in 2005.
It marks the third time the remains of Leon Lockwood, 28, of Charlotte, have been found in a Michigan waterway since his disappearance, according to The Associated Press.

    This is a weird case:

"The finding represents the third time someone has located part of Lockwood’s body in an area waterway.

Lockwood, a then-28-year-old Charlotte resident, was reported missing in March 2005.
The investigation into Lockwood's death remains open, said Greg Harris, a lieutenant with the Ingham County Sheriff's Office. He said it's not clear whether all of Lockwood's bones have been recovered." http://www.lansingstatejournal.com/s...ver/712732001/

    Yes, I hope so too....

Lockwood's jawbone and skull were found along the Grand River in 2006, while other body parts belonging to him were found in the Red Cedar River near Webberville in 2005, the AP said.
