Shootings in 3 separate cities all around the same time? I wonder if there's an online site somewhere, where they made a pact.

Ugh. So sick of this! Our LE are putting their life in the line every single day. They're out there protecting the protesters regardless of the side. This is sick. We are a messed up world. It won't get better. Prayers to our fallen heroes and their families.

The Florida man who allegedly ambushed and killed two Kissimmee police officers Friday night is a self-professed member of a black extremist group who appears to have been upset by last week’s events in Charlottesville, Va.

Everett Glenn Miller, 45, was arrested and charged with first degree murder in the killing of Officers Sam Howard and Matthew Baxter.

Miller, who goes by the name Malik Mohammad Ali on Facebook, allegedly ambushed and shot the officers as they were responding to a disturbance call.

Miller, a Marine veteran, allegedly opened fire on the officers before they could draw their service weapons. He fled and was arrested several hours later. Police found two guns on Miller.

Miller also described himself as a Moor, a member of the Moorish Nation, a sovereign citizen group with black nationalist roots.

Miller claimed to be a Moor in a post claiming that he needed “a warrior Queen to help me rule my castle.”

“I am a moor..I need a Warrior Queen becuse [sic]..I am a King of know person..i am a King of Myself. I am A Moor!” he wrote above a picture of Black Panther activist Angela Davis.

Last year, another self-professed Moor killed three police officers in Baton Rouge.

Gavin Long, who was also a former Marine, ambushed and killed the officers last July 17. Long, who was a member of the Washitaw Nation, a Moorish sect, appeared to have been motivated by the shooting of Alton Sterling, a black man who was killed by Baton Rouge police on July 5, 2016.

Man accused in slaying of two Kissimmee officers was well-regarded during time at MacDill
    Monday, August 21, 2017 1:14pm
A man accused of shooting to death two Kissimmee police officers was well known at MacDill Air Force Base as a Marine who served key roles at two major commands.
Everette Glenn Miller, 45, is being held without bail after authorities say he killed Officer Matthew Baxter and Sgt. Sam Howard on Friday night following a scuffle that broke out as Baxter approached three people in a rough Kissimmee neighborhood. Deputies later arrested Miller at a bar.
His former commanding officer with U.S. Special Operations Command at MacDill, informed by a reporter about the fatal shootings, said he was shocked.
"I would never imagine 'Top' doing anything like this," said retired Navy Capt. Tom Leech, who served as director of the SOCom Joint Intelligence Center from 2007 to 2010. Leech said Miller was often referred to at SOCom by the honorary title "Top," for the top sergeant.
A woman who worked with Miller at MacDill-based U.S. Central Command said she, too, was shocked by the news but could see something wasn't right about Miller through his recent posts on social media.
"We all noticed a sudden change in the content he was posting," said Michelle Whitt, who remained friends with Miller for about 16 years. "He was posting so many things that focused on racism or were filled with hate. So out of character. Several people reached out to him to find out what was going on."

The hateful rhetoric that is plaguing our nation and forefront in the media is causing mentally unstable people to act out in murderous ways.

Stop the hate. We can all have opinions and we can disagree with one another without resorting to violence.

Kissimmee cops' accused killer will face death penalty; is competent to stand trial
Miller, 45, entered in handcuffs and a striped red-and-white jail jumpsuit. He glanced at the gallery and then sat quietly by his defense attorney.

Sadia Baxter looked at him and dabbed away tears throughout the hearing, in which the judge ruled that Miller is competent for legal proceedings to move forward. Ocala-based State Attorney Brad King filed notices this week to seek the death penalty for Miller.

Suspect was likely to 'cause serious bodily harm' a month before Kissimmee cops killed, records show
New evidence released in the case of a man accused of killing two Kissimmee Police officers in August offers more details about the night of the shooting, as well as what led to an involuntary mental health hospitalization a month earlier.

Everett Glenn Miller, 46, is accused of shooting Kissimmee Police Sgt. Richard “Sam” Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter in the head on Aug. 18. He was arrested that night at a bar.

But Osceola County deputies had encountered Miller on July 11, when he walked into a grocery store with a rifle after a fight with his stepfather.

“There is a substantial likelihood that without care or treatment, he will cause serious bodily harm to himself or others,” a deputy wrote in July. He suggested Miller be charged with improper display of a firearm, a misdemeanor.
