Two men have been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of a 17-year-old girl whose nearly nude body was found early Saturday on a street in southeast Houston.
Police said Gilbert Rodriguez IV, 23, of the 2300 block of Welk, and Julio Armando Falcón, 20, of the 2200 block of Theta, forced the girl into the trunk of Rodriguez's newer-model Grand Am after Falcón, her boyfriend, got into an argument with her at Rodriguez's home.
At one point, the girl, whose identity has not been released, managed to jump from the trunk and make a run for it at the 5300 block of Bataan, but was chased down and recaptured, Investigator Mike McStravick said.
When they came to the intersection of Cherbourg and Southlea in southeast Houston, Falcón shot his girlfriend in the head, police said.
