you would not believe how many times after Charley they went hysterical -- evac millions and no where near what all the drama is

His eye is really perfect now tho

    well see

There all different , Frances stalled over us forever , no big deal except in rained

New Orleans tho depending on landfall might have some bad flooding nothing Katraina- Katrina was caused Army Corp of Engineers and contractors were crooked and did not build the areas where there collapsed to spec -- at all .

Miss Katrina was gone well hell started!

The outer swirls of Harvey are hitting Huntsville, Texas now. That's about 50 miles south of me! Somebody just brought a weather person standing out on the beach in Galveston a 6-pack of Galveston beer! lol! The waves are HUGE. It looks rough!

    Pressure -

    Dropping building / stronger

    10 o'clock 947

2 943 max now 120 mph at certain places within storm itself

and hey just as a mother nature entity they are amazing water moving machines

loved learning all about em how they work!

this close to landfall they are going out every 4 hours and they drop these things that basically look like what you put your bank deposit in at a drive thru!

a parachute comes out and as they go down they transmit back to the plane all sorts of data!

There old prop planes - jet could not handle all the bouncing around jet engines would flame out and quit and that wont be all that good would it!

I have been watching all of the hurricane updates on Fox today and as the day goes on it is getting much worse even now, and it hasn't even made landfall yet.

My heart and prayers are with all of you that may be in the path of this monster storm.

This is what happened to us in 1994 when Alberto came inland in Georgia and stayed there spinning for days pouring down a huge amount of rain non-stop. It caused us to have a 500 year flood, and it took over a decade for some areas to recover. I pray this does not happen in TX and LA.

    God be with you all.

Interesting interview on CNN about problems with preparation. Trump says FEMA is shipping generators to Texas, but without an emergency declaration, local cities and towns have to pay for the generators and may not accept them. If emergency is declared, the assistance is covered by the federal government. Not a problem for big cities, but smaller towns can't afford to pay out of pocket for the supplies FEMA may be shipping to them. Why not just declare an emergency? It can be cancelled later if not needed.
All statements are my opinion only.

Governor declared about 17 (or was it 30???) counties disaster areas yesterday - Texas national guard have around 700 personnel mustered and will deploy (they may already have) shortly to Corpus Christi and surrounding, The emergency declaration may be necessary, but I expect will be forthcoming if needed. Frankly the worst of this hasn't even begun so it may be premature and would put those assets in harm's way. I expected they are in ready mode...

...on a lighter note, my husband just went out to the mailbox to check to see if the mail had come - you know, to our house, here in Corpus Christi, during a HURRICANE. Honestly...
