"WATERLOO, Md. -- Police said several drivers struck a human body on Interstate 95 in Maryland and did not stop."

http://www.thewbalchannel.com/news/5977733/detail.html

Because of that uncertainty, Moroney said the case is being handled as a death investigation rather than a pedestrian accident.

How do multiple drivers, hit a body , Is everybody just playing follow the leader out there.

If it's dark outside or the body is lying flat on the pavement, there's no way of knowing you've hit something until you've gone over it, and even then, you might think you hit a dog or even a speed bump.

When did they start putting speed bumps on the interstate?

PS - I'd stop for a dog too.

This is an interesting development. Police are looking into the possibility that this man may be connected to the 2 bodies found Sunday morning at Arbutus Middle School.

"Police are also investigating a possible connection between this fatality and those of two men who were found stabbed to death in a field near Arbutus Middle School on Sunday. All three men killed were of Hispanic origin and in their late twenties, but police say they're checking for a potential connection because of the proximity of the fatalities."

".....fingerprint analysis obtained by the medical examiners office along with homicide detectives from Maryland State Police were able to identify yesterday's victim."

Wouldn't they only find a fingerprint match if he had a criminal record?

maybe a deer but it wouldn't be a good idea to stop on 95 for anyone alone at that time.

Not far from me there was a case of "suicide by semi" where a man was walking along an interstate and suddenly moved out in front of an oncoming semi. The police have ruled it a suicide because the man had his driver's license taped to his chest, evidently so he could be identified. With several truck drivers in my family, I really have sympathy for the truck driver in this case.
