VISTA A 25-year-old man, who allegedly used a hammer to bludgeon his estranged girlfriend to death in her Oceanside apartment last year, must stand trial for murder, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Judge Marguerite Wagner ruled there was enough evidence to hold Eric Nathaniel "Nate" Marum to answer to charges stemming from the death last Oct. 16 of 25-year-old Nicole Sinkule.
According to court testimony, Marum has two domestic violence convictions involving the same victim.
..."She was obviously dead. There were copious amounts of blood and a small amount of brain matter," Garcia said. "I saw a hammer that was deeply imbedded into her skull."
