Circumstances

Last seen on MP's birthday April 8,1975, by family No additional details are available on this case. Although her Charley Project profile states she often wore a wig.

NamUs profile: https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/20630/0/

Charley Project: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/r/redding_susan.html

Can't find any UD matching her description in Washington State after 1975.

I couldn't seem to find any other place to post this but I have two unidentified persons that I think could be Susan.

https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/4458
https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/2415

Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on this or at least could point me in the direction of a more appropriate post!

Entirely possible. There is very little information about the circumstances of her disappearance so she could have ended up anywhere, voluntarily or involuntarily. Neither UID currently has DNA available and that's the only identifier that Susan has so it would be difficult to rule her in or out as being either Jane Doe. A belated Welcome to Websleuths, Ylva :welcome: !

Thanks for the links! It's nice to see someone interested in one of my cases.

4458 is the most similar, except Susan has a scar on her eye, and the Jane Doe on her feet, still I recommend you submit this one.

2415, it's possible as well, same age range. You should submit it.

If you can submit them both, it would be nice. I'm about to get hit by a hurricane and I may be offline for awhile.

What do you guys think happened to Susan Redding? did she run away in the date of her birthday? Did she met with foul play?

There is a discrepancy in her weight... Her Charley project page states her weight is 150lbs.

I wish there were more details about her disappearance. Off to Google to see if I can find anything else...

The only picture of her is very blurry. I can see what looks like a purse strap on her shoulder though, which could indicate she carried a purse at least occasionally.

I googled and no luck. There's so few details. I made a facebook page called The missing and the Forgotten just for these types of cases. Hopefully I can get so leads by targeting ads towards Seattle.

I just liked the page, I will go check it out when I have some time after the baby goes down for a nap!

I wonder how Susan celebrated her birthday and who she was with...

Any websites where I could search for old Seattle newspapers? That way I can know if there were any media coverage at that time

The key here is: who reported her missing? Is that public information or confidential police work?

Can the police provide me with the official report and tell me who reported her missing? Is that public information?
I'm not sure but it definitely wouldn't hurt to try! The worst that can happen is they tell you no... I'm definitely interested in any information that can be found. I wish I was local to that area.
