According to his arrest citation, Belt admitted that he got into an argument with Spoonamore about money and hit her in the head, tied her up, took her to the cliff and beat her again.

Investigators say Belt also admitted James was with Jessica when he took her to the cliff.

On Sunday, more than 200 people took part in a massive search effort to look for James Spoonamore. They came out again on Monday morning before calling off the search.

State Police say they found a child's body at 9:31 a.m. about 180-feet off Sparks Ridge Road.

    Continued summary of presser:

Opens for questions (I can't hear reporters Q's only his answers):

Boy's body is in Frankfort for Atopsy

Won't give name but he is 5 years old and son of Jessica

Current charge is 1 count, subsequent charges will be coming

He was found 180 feet off Sparks Ridge Rd in Jackson County

They are acquainted; Jessica has a husband; Belt is known to the family

    Other Charges pending

He doesn't think it is appropriate to identify the boy because he is a juvenile

There were some hikers that found Jessica and called police

Doesn't want to answer questions that may jeopardize prosecution

They are still notifying next of kin; not sure who will notify the school

Mother in UK hospital has been notified

    They were given reason to believe he might be found in the location; canines were used;
    found 180 feet off roadway

Looking into all avenue on how to proceed with case

Will give periodic updates, early in investigation

Body being brought to Frankfort for autopsy by ME

    He was 5 years old

Now, I'm wondering. According to MSM report, offender wanted to wake up husband (Jessica Durham's husband, who was asleep in house). My question is, "Why did the husband not report this?" Reports state Mom was found by hikers. Money was involved, so it was stated. Just so devastating that this precious little one died because of $!!!

So heartbreaking for mother and family. I am so sad for this little guy. I hope it was quick and painless for him because the thought of him out there alone dying a slow death is just devastating. However he died, I hope the monster who took them never sees the light of day.
