[h=1]South Bay Woman Missing For More Than A Month[/h]

SAN JOSE, CA - The San Jose Police Department is asking for help locating a woman who hasn't been seen by her family in more than a month. She reportedly planned to take a solo camping trip, but didn't say where she was going. She enjoys the California Coast and Santa Cruz mountains.

Jelena Pajic, 30, was last seen on Aug. 14 and her family is requesting help from the public in locating her, police said.

She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds with brown eyes and hair. Police said she drives a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C250 with license plate 7GYH248.

According to officials, Jelena Pajić left for what was supposed to be a week-long camping trip without telling anyone where exactly she was headed to. Friends ofPajić say it was common for her to take solo trips without telling anyone the location. The only clue she gave was that she was going somewhere 'pretty.'

“There is nothing to indicate that she has been a victim of any type of crime at this point. It just appears that she went missing voluntarily,” said SJPD Officer, Gina Tepoorten. “We have not recited any information to think she was a victim of any type of crime at this point.”

Friends of Jelena Pajić took to social media on Thursday hoping to get the public to help in their search and have even started a campaign to help pay costs for a private investigator.

It sure seems strange (and dangerous) for a woman to go on a week-long camping trip alone. If she really took off on trips in the past without telling anyone where she was going I wonder if she was actually traveling alone?

I immediately thought the same thing. Maybe someone wanted to keep their relationship under wraps.

Another link to Jelena's history. I think she is a single woman, so can go on trips with anyone she pleases. I really think an eye-catching beautiful woman like Jelena would know not to travel and camp alone. There's something unsaid going on with these secret trips.

Jelena and her friends post in a non-English language. Google Translate identifies it as either Slovenian or Croatian. So perhaps she is from that area of the world originally or her parents are.

She had a dog in 2012. Wonder if she still has him and what she did with the dog when she traveled in the past?

I was wondering if perhaps the alternate last name was a maiden name. That seems to answer it. I agree, the secret trips don't really make sense.

There is no mention in the press that she didn't show up for work. I wonder if she was still working for NASA? You would think a NASA employee not showing up for so long would cause them to sound an alarm to find her. Even if she had a week off to go on this "solo camping" trip, after that week vacation when she didn't return someone should have sounded the alarm to LE and in the media. It's mind-boggling it took a month for her friends to find out she was missing.:scared:

I can't understand why she wouldn't tell anyone where she was going to be camping, unless she hadn't made definite plans and was just going to go out and find a spot. .

She should be from Serbia, it is serbo-croatian language. Her ex is also from that area

Jelena Pajić (Nenadic), a San Jose woman, told folks she was going camping on August 14. She didn’t get specific about where she was headed but was supposed to be back in a week. Family and friends have not heard from her since. They have reported her missing and received a tip that she was seen two days ago a little north of Willits with a man who had short black hair.
