SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A mother and her baby girl are missing from their home in Sissonville according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
Abagail Brooke Rupe, 20, and her one-month-old child were last seen at 11:30 p.m. Friday night. Rupe told her mom that she was going to a friend's house, but that friend says she has not seen her.
Rupe did not show up to training for her job Saturday morning.
Deputies say Rupe's parents have been trying to contact her and cannot reach her. They "assumed a ride was waiting outside the residence for her and that she got into a vehicle with the baby."
Her parents say it is unlike Rupe to leave home. Deputies say they are concerned for her safety and the safety of the baby.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the sheriff's office at 304-357-0169.
