This man, George L. Wallace, and his family has endured so much tragedy!

His daughter, Michele was missing for two decades. Finally her body was found and a man was convicted of her murder.

Six weeks after his daughter disappeared his wife committed suicide from grief.

He remarried and his second wife died after a long illness.

Retired he sometimes used a wheelchair to get around. On Friday a stranger broke into his home, and in the course of a robbery beat the 85 year old man to death. Ransacking the house and stealing his car.

His son, the only surviving member of the immediate family is asking "How much can one family take?"

A Pinellas jury took just over two hours Wednesday to find Stephen Sterling guilty of murdering an 85-year-old man in his St. Petersburg home during a burglary two years ago...

Circuit Judge Cynthia Newton immediately sentenced Sterling, 24, to life in prison without the possibility of parole...

[Eugene] Wesley struck a deal with prosecutors in which he agreed to testify against Sterling. For his testimony, Wesley, who was 17 at the time of the crime, will plead guilty to second-degree murder and receive a 25-year prison sentence.
