Police in the metro are searching for a woman who went missing Wednesday.

According to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, 22-year-old Amanda Jean Olson left her home in Hastings around 2 a.m. Wednesday and has not been seen or heard from since.

Olson is a vulnerable adult with cognitive and developmental delays, the BCA said, and while she has been away from home for periods of time before, authorities are concerned because she has not communicated with family members or friends.

Her cellphone seems to be turned off and she is without her medication, according to the BCA.

Olson is 5-feet-3-inches tall, 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The BCA said Olson frequents the north metro and south Minneapolis.

Is she driving? Because Hastings is very far from Minneapolis and St. Paul if you are walking. The bus system is not that great, but I guess it is possilble. Hastings is surrounded by cornfields.

A vulnerable adult missing from Hastings since Oct. 4 was found in River Falls Monday night.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Amanda Jean Olson, 22, left her Hastings home around 2 a.m. last Wednesday.

Hastings police said Olson was found in a home in River Falls Oct. 9 safe, uninjured and there of her own will.

Police said Olson was willingly taken home.

Olson has been away from home before, but family was concerned last week because she did not tell anyone she planned to leave. She left without her medication and her cell phone appeared to be off.
