well, i have to say that i am finally feeling cautiously optimistic about the way things are heading. I definitely think the prosecution carried the day today, unlike the first few days. No more mr. Qt niceguy in his studious looking eyeglasses and crisp oxford shirt sitting up straight and alert to sway jurors. Today it was in your face, large screen tv quentin the real, slouching and digging himself ever deeper with the help of a team of skillful and relentless interrogators.

Suddenly the importance of the "eric/derrick" dying declaration inconsistency the defense has dwelled on seems minor, even explainable. Jessica's painful injuries had drastically modified her ability to speak, with shrinking collagin and damaged tissue in her nose, mouth, and throat making her words sound differently. Had she somehow sounded like she was saying rumplestiltskin, those around her would have all heard the same unintended sounds from her broken communication system. The little cheerleader who knew how to belt it out, and gut it out, tried her best.

My apologies for the snip. Your synopsis of today's turn of events is well presented, inspector, as always. I shall add to your list that the jury heard qt today say "when i got out of jail" while he was incarcerated in prison in another state. Jurors should be able to conclude that qt has been in prison for crimes at least two times and currently being tried for a charge of capital murder in ms.

There was a small measure of pleasure in watching qt move his head in a slight no nod each time when da champion would ask the judge and jury for permission to show one more segment. Once, during those final segments, i noticed qt lean his head down so his right ear was close to his female attorney. She looked away without whispering a word of comfort or support.

The memory of ch from 2014, when he was happy, owned a nice property with acreage, had many friends and held a respected position in the community. The fire chief seen testifying in this trial is a shell of the strong, confident cole haley after experiencing a severely burned jessica who reached out her hand to him. If guilty, qt suffocated cole haley's spirit that fateful evening in december.

Jessica wanted to pen a book regarding her bio and asked her new friend, linda, not to forget her. Jessica's own story will remain untold but she shall not be forgotten. I shall never forget cole haley either and his deeply emotional testimony. After being dismissed from the witness stand, cole's tender hug with ben created a waterfall.

Blunts are usually large sheets of pressed tobacco (cigar paper), you than proceed to fill them with copious amounts of marijuana until you get something like this: Joints on the other hand are rolled with normal 'rolling paper' and get you way less stoned

1st time poster.

Did anyone besides Kesha know of Jessica's relationship with QT? Could he have told Jessica that his name was Eric as he had a girlfriend? It's a bit confusing whether Kesha introduced QT to Jessica or the other way round. Was he in Jessica's contact list as Quinton? Could Kesha be covering for QT?

You know this has been questioned before....if there was anyone that could link the name Quinton to Eric I have to think the state would have brought that person on after the parade of witnesses all of whom heard (or thought they heard) Eric. I think that is a stretch and as a juror I would not go there...now Kesha...well I happen to think she knows way more than what was said on the stand and for whatever reason the state did not go very far with her knowledge of Quinton or even observations of JC and Quinton.....I wanted to hear much more from her.

I don't post much, but I have followed Jessica's case from the beginning. The trial is difficult-can only imagine how much it is for family-but I feel compelled to follow it. This beautiful young lady had a wonderful life in front of her-cut short by a monster. She may have made some mistakes, but don't we all, especially in our younger years? My heart aches for what she endured-and for her family. These tapes of the defendant's questioning are shedding much light on this case. I do believe he is guilty. Can't think of a motive-but, the state doesn't need a motive. ( I know, jurors seem to "want" a motive)

I also want to express my appreciation for all the tweets from all the Tweeters-an astounding job you are doing! Thank you so much. Also, reading other's opinions is so fascinating to me. I keep an open mind and may change it frequently during a trial-that's what makes it so interesting here. Thank you everyone. I hope justice is served for Jessica.

I agree. I thought it was odd they barely questioned her at all. Wonder what the reasoning is for that.

I think Quinton told JC his real name. Did LE have access to her phone? (Meaning, it was not locked?) She likely had his name in there as Quinton if he told her his real name.

Regarding motive.

The state did not ask the medical examiner if there was any evidence of sexual intercourse that evening. Just if there was any indication of "trauma" (that would indicate an assault). I wonder why? Would consensual sex damage their theory? If there was no sexual contact at all, what would that mean for their case?

Just thinking "out loud" here......

watching some old news clips from the days after....the local media really got on this case of course as it is so horrific...mention was made of previous boyfriends and bad relationships...anyone know enough about the early days to be clear who they were and I guess I have to assume they were cleared. No mention at all of Quinton but maybe LE were on him and did not want the name out there.....they interviewed Derrick who lived close by and had just been released from jail...but he was cleared....they had so many to look at but it seems Quinton would be the obvious...but how many outside of Kesha knew jessica was hanging with him??

i can only assume they did not go far because other things she may have said would open some doors for cross that they just did not want to open...lots of things just not coming in...the state's case is exceptionally tight with very little extraneous info.
