The mother is free and has not been charged with any crimes"

Ugh! That's horrible. I wonder if the space heater malfunctioned, since the mother was treated for burns, as well? Weird.

Why would someone put a baby so close to a space heater in the first place??
I agree! But, something weird has happened here. So, so sad.

I honestly don't think it was just that, Acording to the ME results, The baby was dead before the fire.

Ok First he says that she is throwing the baby across the room...

"Lang said he witnessed the girl's mother, Charlotte Wilder, abuse the child. Lang said his arrest stemmed from him slapping the mother after the alleged abuse.

"I happened to turn around, and I seen the baby fly across the room," he said."

Then he says that he was puzzeled by the death,, Meanwhile he is sitting in Jail for beating the mother. Not sure how long he was sitting in Jail before the baby Died or was murdered...

"Lang said he was puzzled by the death, given Wilder's behavior before the alleged abuse.

"My wife was good to the baby," he said. "That's what I'm saying. I really don't know what happened. It got me puzzled and in denial. If she did something like that, man, her mind must have snapped. I been around her, like I said, for three years, and she never showed no sign of nothing to try to hurt the baby.

They are still not calling this a homicide.. Since there was not any blunt force trauma to the baby... They are waiting on toxicology reports... ETA 6-9 Weeks.
