Darn it! From the pics, she looks like a lovely woman who may be a mommy. I don't feel positive, but I will hope she is okay somewhere.

Guzman-Cordova was last seen leaving her home on North Santa Fe Avenue on Oct. 13 at around 9 p.m. Her family reported her missing the following day.
The San Diego County Sheriffs Department (SDSO) said she was on foot and did not take her cellphone or wallet with her. The womans family told investigators she suffers from depression and doesnt have her medication.
Deputies have searched surrounding neighborhoods for the mother and checked local hospitals for her, to no avail. Her family has also searched all over San Diego but, still, no sign of Guzman-Cordova.
Martinez said they have received a few tips that proved false, which has been heartbreaking for the family.

"Maria Elena Guzman-Cordova went missing under suspicious circumstances around 9 p.m. last Oct. 13 from her residence at 1610 N. Santa Fe Ave., sheriff's Lt. Rich Williams said.
"If anything happened to Maria, we'd like to know what it was," Williams said at a news conference."

Hector Martinez, her husband, was arrested Thursday morning for the murder of Maria Guzman.
nvestigators recently found Guzman's remains in a rural area near Palomar Mountain. The medical examiner was unable to determine a cause of death.
Authorities believe Martinez used an SUV to transport Guzman's body to the Palomar Mountain area.

Martinez was booked into the San Diego Central Jail shortly after 1 p.m. on suspicion of first degree murder and he was being held without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Monday afternoon

A Vista man accused of killing his wife and dumping her body near Palomar Mountain listened Monday as their teenage daughter testified about the violence she witnessed in their home.
Maria Elena Guzman-Cordova was reported missing on Oct. 14, 2017. Her remains were found just over a year later near Palomar Mountain.
Hector Martinez was arrested on a murder charge the following week. He has pleaded not guilty.

Mid-trial, judge dismisses case against Vista husband accused of killing his wife
So the judge dismissed the case, and evidently it’s considered double jeopardy, and he couldn’t be tried again. That seems bizarre to me. I’m aware of the fact that a judge can dismiss a case, but I don’t see where the jeopardy comes in. After all, the case didn’t go to the jury, and the judge couldn’t have decided that the evidence was overwhelming that he was guilty, so how does the judge deciding whether or not to send it to a jury constitute jeopardy?

seems like a shoddy investigation or not enough evidence rather than innocence but be that as it may, he is free.
