Listening to Sky News and the people who are phoning in, if the police are going down a negotiations route, we are unlikely to hear much information from them for the time being.

So he went back to the Bowling alley with a shotgun and is currently holding 3 people hostage. (again, info not independently verified)

Hostage 'shown to police'

Reporter Claire Harrison says the an eye-witness has told her that the gunman has brought a hostage to the front door to ‘show them he’s serious’.

Eye-witness description of gunman

The gunman has been described as around five foot 10 and in his mid 40s.

Lloyd Weightman was with his two sons, aged seven and three, when he came out of the changing facilities to find the bowling alley empty apart from the gunman.

He said:

“I thought there must have been a fire alarm of something.
“We walked to the front door and he came towards me with a shotgun saying ‘get the *advertiser censored** out’.”

Mr Weightman described the gunman as in his mid-40s and about five foot 10 and said he was “definitely on something”.

“A bowling alley is in lockdown after it was stormed by a man with a shotgun who has taken hostages.

Around 30 armed police officers have been spotted outside MFA Bowl at Bermuda Park in Nuneaton, Warwickshire this afternoon.

One witness claimed that the suspect had 'two hostages and a shotgun'.

A sawn-off is a bit of an archaic weapon these days. You don't hear about them very often as illegal handguns and other firearms are usually available to those with criminal connections since the opening up of eastern Europe.

Police say this incident is not terrorist related.

Update one of the hostages is the man’s ex-wife.
 
Gunman has been arrested but is injured and he has been taken to hospital.No fatalities thankfully.
