Multiple sources are reporting that the Special Counsel investigating Russia's interference in the 2016 election and any collusion with the Trump campaign has issued an indictment out of DC grand jury. Arrests to follow Monday, October 30.

Courthouse opens up at 9 am. I wonder if reporters are camping out there or at residences of Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn? It may be a no knock, hand cuffs arrest. Shock and awe.

Are we supposed to be discussing the Russian Collusion investgations here? It seems like a recipe for getting this thread shut down, and perhaps never being able to open the political threads again. IMO only...

It is major news. Doesn't have to be political.

A politically appointed Special Prosecutor, charged with investigating the current GOP administration, for potential political crimes, does not 'have to be political?'

You are only seeing it in political terms. You do not have to participate or try to shut it down.

No defense attorneys have been notified so its going to be a gangbusters arrest --no notice, perp walk.
No--I think Felix would be informant as before.
Strange--atty for E VA ...???

We can discuss the law, the actions, the process, the questions and answers, the hearings, etc., just like any criminal arrest and trial case.

Oh wow. I assumed big men like these are allowed to walk in on their own, attorneys in tow.

I think CARIIS means plain Virginia - U.S. Attorney Boente just retired.

Robert Mueller's First Charges

This article from Politico provides a useful summary of what's expected tomorrow:

An expected indictment Monday from the special counsel probing Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election leaves President Donald Trump facing a politically perilous week as his White House juggles unveiling significant tax legislation, announcing its pick for Federal Reserve chair and launching a 12-day-long foreign trip.

Administration allies scrambled over the weekend to downplay the significance of the expected revelation of the first charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, which CNN first reported were approved by a federal grand jury Friday. Trump, however, seemed to be struggling to stay focused on what was already shaping up to be a momentous week on the policy front, tweeting his frustration repeatedly on Sunday.

While the target and nature of the charges remain unknown, the expected indictment — from a special counsel appointed after Trump abruptly fired his FBI director out of frustration with the Russia probe — could make Monday one of the most politically consequential days of this presidency.
