Yin Wong, a 33-year-old female from Sacramento, is reported to be 5-feet tall, and weighing 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue-striped top and an unknown color skirt. She has a stocky build, medium complexion, and a protruding belly. Her car was found near the American River canyon ridge and near the Cal Fire station in Bowman. Motorcycle teams were in the canyon, as well as patrol dogs, quad-runners and the Sheriff's Office helicopter.

One person reportedly saw someone matching Wong’s description near New Airport Road and Highway 49 late Sunday morning. No other sightings of Wong have been reported since.

My husband is out looking for her now. I don't have a good feeling about it.

Her car was found on a residential street in Auburn about 45 mins northeast of her last known address in Sacramento. Someone saw her on New Airport Road today in Auburn which is right near where the car was found. Makes me wonder if the car was out of gas or not operational? Perhaps she has been nearby over the weekend and doesn't remember where she left it? I hope she gets home safe.

Her eyebrows appear shaved off. This can be a trigger warning for a mental health, or ocd/anxiety issue.

The person who thinks they saw her posted yesterday afternoon, so “today” would be Sunday around 11:30 a.m. Is there a nearby church? She was wearing heels. There were a lot of prayer posts on the thread but I suppose that’s typical. Placer County Sheriff is really monitoring and responding to posts on their FB page. Much appreciated.

Police are saying, "Some of her belongings were left inside the car, so it looks like she left without signaling for help.”

Search and rescue teams have been focusing their efforts on a one-mile-wide area of the east slope of the American River canyon. It’s a heavily wooded and dark area.

Wong last spoke to her boyfriend in Sacramento on Saturday. Then, police got a call saying they saw Wong at New Airport Road and Highway 49 around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday.

“Well at three in the morning, I heard a bunch of noise,” said someone who lives in the area. Those sounds led her to look out of her window and towards the street early Sunday morning. “I saw lights, and I saw them turning, and I thought someone had turned and walked away,” she explained. “But when the lights when off, I figured they had gone home.” “You could not see your hand in front of you last night. It was that dark out!”

The darkness led investigators to believe Wong may have been disoriented driving in the area.

“At nighttime, it’s almost impossible to see anything,” the resident said.

Investigators said they don’t have any reason to believe she is not in the area and they do not believe there was any foul play.

I wish we knew if there was anything wrong with the car. Hearing a bunch of noise is a little vague, was it like someone slamming on the brakes? She was dressed to go out (I assume, being late at night unless she routinely wears heels)
Being lost in the dark is so terrifying - hoping for the best.

If it was SO dark, how did the neighbor know who was out there?

I wonder if the car was found in front of her house and she made the assumption later.

Neighbors heard a loud noise in the middle of the night and found her car in the morning. Her car was driven off road and onto private property, but still driveable to my knowledge. I do not believe anyone saw her that night but her purse, including ID, were near the car. Her shoes were also near the car,

I believe there may have also been some evidence of a possible mental health issue.

Some people shave them so that they can draw in "perfect" brows.

A newly released surveillance photo shows Wong shopping at Safeway in Sacramento at 12:09 on Sunday morning. Her former boyfriend Bruce Woodruff said Wong seemed upset when they talked over the weekend two days before she disappeared.
"Those messages were just asking, ‘Are you OK? Are you going to be fine? I want to make sure you're OK.’ She called me on the phone. She was crying,” Woodruff said.

Wasn't her car found near Airport Road where the noise happened?

So how did she get back to a Safeway in Sacramento? and..one hour after being seen on this Airport Rd?
Am I not getting something because I'm tired and just had a Campari?

Authorities found her keys, purse and cell phone near her car and "her shoes were outside the car tangled in some bushes," authorities said.

Wong has no connection to the Auburn area. “There is no reason why she would be here,” said the Placer County Sheriff's Office. The search party included a blood hound, canines, horses, motorcycles and hikers.

They plan to do another search Wednesday if she is not found by Tuesday night. The problem that search and rescue teams are facing is the elements. The horse team encountered a mountain lion on their search and fresh bear poop and signs of bears have been spotted in the area. The search includes into a deep canyon, not an easy rescue mission.

A dog tracked her scent towards a drainage, but the problem is that it a steep area with Manzanita and Blackberry bushes covering the area.

PCSO is trying to get help from the National Guard to extract searchers from the drainage if they are able to go in.
