Found Deceased CA - Tyler Silva, 21, Muir Beach, 3 Dec 2017

21-year-old Antioch man is missing at Muir Beach, according to his family.

Tyler Silva's family reported him missing at 3:30 p.m. Sunday near the Pirate's Cove Trail. The search began Sunday night.

According to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, the search and rescue effort was underway Monday on roads, trails and coastline between Muir Beach and Tennessee Valley. The search concluded for the day just before 4 p.m. it was not clear if the search would resume in the morning.

It's possible Silva fell from the cliff and was swept out to sea, she said.

Polk on Monday said Silva's body was found about two miles off Stinson Beach. There were no signs of foul play, Polk said.

Whether Tyler’s fall was an accident or deliberate it’s a terrible tragedy. I’m so sorry he didn’t get to fulfill his obvious potential. He seemed like a neat guy with a good future.
