BBM - it's a shame that women still, today, are in fear of retribution for reporting what has been done to them.

Mario Batali Fired From The Chew Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

ABC has fired Mario Batali from The Chew three days after sexual misconduct allegations were levied against the celebrity chef.

A statement shared Thursday via The Chew's Facebook page and attributed to an ABC spokesperson said, "Upon completing its review into the allegations made against Mario Batali, ABC has terminated its relationship with him and he will no longer appear on The Chew. While we remain unaware of any type of inappropriate behavior involving him and anyone affiliated with our show, ABC takes matters like this very seriously as we are committed to a safe work environment and his past behavior violates our standards of conduct." ...

I know.I can't stand Mario.
Waiting for Guy Fieri to be called out.

 DH and I talked about this again last night. Can you imagine Food Network having to pull the plug on all Guy Fieri's shows? No more endless reruns of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. No more Guy's Grocery Games. No more Guy's Big Bite, Guy's Ranch (new), Fieri family specials. Fieri has been FN's bread & butter for years and having him called out for inappropriate conduct would be a major loss.

Mario Batali Includes Cinnamon Roll Recipe in Sexual Misconduct Apology

Mario Batali has come under fire for a printed apology over his "wrong" behavior, which included a link to a recipe and was issued soon after ABC announced it had fired him from The Chew after he was accused of sexual misconduct, for which he apologized in a previous statement.

"As many of you know, this week there has been some news coverage about some of my past behavior...

I have no idea who this guy is (I don't watch TV). I had never heard of him until this thread. It seems as though this is just a joke to him. I really do not believe he is sincere with his apology. Sounds like a real creep to me. I wonder, was his show popular?

Mario Batali's original Food Network show, Molto Mario, was a good show that I watched frequently. He had a pull-down map of Italy and talked about geography and its relation to regional Italian cooking. I enjoyed learning about Italian foods and culture and thought Batali was a fine teacher. MB appeared on other Food Network shows and competed on Iron Chef, but his show had lost popularity and was no longer aired. Mario has also written several cookbooks.

As Batali opened his various restaurants, his ego grew with his waistline. I watched ABC's The Chew a few times when it first aired but didn't care for the hosts or format. Batali and his wife have a home in Traverse City, MI where they spend their summers.
