* Marks, Scars, Tattoos: Tattoo of a "flower" on upper left arm, tattoo of a "Freebird" with a cloud and lightning bolt on right forearm, previously fractured tibia and fibula, rod in right tibia.
* Clothing: Blue jeans.

Circumstances of Disappearance
David was last seen at approximately 10:00am with an acquaintance at the base of the Springfield area cliffs off South 69th St.

* Located on August 12, 1998 in Brooklyn, New York.
* The victim comitted suicide.

Vital Statistics

* Estimated age: 30 years old
* Approximate Height and Weight: Blue eyes; brown hair and a moustache.
* Distinguishing Characteristics: 6'0"; 145 lbs.
* Clothing: He was wearing a pink/orange shirt; black slacks; a black belt; blue loafers and a watch. $51.85 in USC and a W/M and Y/M cigarette lighter was also found.

Case History
On August 12, 1998, the victim was found hanging from a tree at Shore Parkway Westbound on East 23rd Brooklyn, New York. There were a few bottles of half empty Tanguary gin found at the scene. He had no identification.

Possible match?:
1. There is a resemblence between the photo of David and the sketch of John Doe.
2. David disappeared at the age of 28, in 1995. He would have just turned 31 when John Doe was found.
3. Both David and John Doe had brown hair and blue eyes.
4. David is listed as 6'1" and 130 lbs, John Doe is listed as 6'0" and 145 lbs
5. There is no mention of David's prior injuries or tattoos on John Doe's page, nor is there any mention on the police site at:

If they were specifically mentioned as "no tattoos" it wouldn't be as inconclusive.
6. David went missing in Oregon, John Doe was found in New York. There is a 3 years timespan between the time David went missing and John Doe was found.

I found this news article today and this unidentified person is NOT on the Doe Network. There is supposed to be a sketch but I searched the web and couldn't find anything.

The body of the man, who appeared to be in his early 20s, was discovered around noon Aug. 13, 1995, by a person walking in a remote open area about a half mile west of Sandia Creek Drive and Rock Mountain Drive, sheriff's Detective Victor Caloca said.

The young white man with short brown hair and blue eyes was 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 182 pounds, he said. He had two tattoos, the first was a fleur de lis on his right bicep and the second was a crude-looking line drawing of a sun with some clouds and flying birds on his left arm. He also had an old gunshot wound scar on his left shoulder, Caloca said.

He wore a black T-shirt with "Marithe Francois Girbaud: A higher state of evolution" printed on the front and "Are you envolved over a ringed planet?" with four stars printed on the back, khaki-colored camouflage pants, and black combat-type boots, Caloca said.

I appreciate this. david is my father. He went missing when I was 2. I check this website and others in hopes of something new. Maybe one day..

Is there anything about your father's disappearance that you might remember hearing from your childhood? Any theories perhaps on what may have happened? Like who that acquaintance might have been? Or if there was any significance to that location—or if it's even related? The description is very vague.
