how cool!!

that is interesting!!!!....breath samples for lung cancer...
wouldnt it be wonderful if it could be diagnosed so simply with trained animals?..
I dont think it is out of the realm of truth

Years ago Unsolved Mysteries did a segment on this. Dogs were able to pick out melanoma quite accurately.

They'd take a bandaid or something that had some melanoma cells on it, put it on a volunteer and then add lots of "clean" bandaids, and the dogs would hit on the melanoma bandaid.

One volunteer had a dog keep hitting on a particular spot on his body which did not have a bandaid. He went to the doctor, and the doctor said all was fine. The dog kept hitting on that spot. The man went back to the doctor, and melanoma was discovered. It was awesome!

Man's best friend is a GOOD friend indeed.

My Mom's golden retriever found her melanoma on the calf of her leg! Same thing... he kept sniffing it and pushing his nose on it. She got it checked out and it was cancerous!!!

Yes, she is! She had it removed, thanks to her dog! And she's fine! Thanks for asking...
