From the AP: Franklin Cover, who played Tom Willis on "The Jefferson's" has died. On the show he played the white husband who was married to a black woman named Helen. He was 77. died of pneumonia and was recuperating from a Dec. heart condition.

I heard that when my alarm went off this morning. I commented to my husband that it's hard to believe the Jefferson's was on TV that long ago. The cast seems to be getting up there in age.

I liked that show, and his character was funny.

Sad, I liked his character also....

1977? Holy COW, I feel old. It is depressing when I see re-runs of shows from the day and see how old and dated they feel. Good times, Welcome back Cotter, Dukes of Hazzard! :D

I think I'll go have a bonescan done! :D

Oh, Sad to hear! I loved his character.
The lady who played his wife died some years ago. She is the mother of singer Lenny Kravitz.
