    Ariel Sharon In Emergency Surgery - Life is in danger

    JERUSALEM - Ariel Sharon underwent emergency surgery Saturday after an abdominal scan revealed severe damage to his digestive tract, and hospital officials said his life was in danger.

    news just reported that surgery was a success.

    and Sharon is stable.

    Press conference...3pm GMT.....10am EST

    survived 4 hr surgery...stable, still in same condition as before surgery

    ....seems to be against all odds that he is stable
