SAN ANTONIO -- A 46-year-old man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of his 53-year-old wife was arrested in Pearsall on Wednesday.
Details of the arrest of Antonio Cavazos weren't immediately available, but he was being treated for some minor injuries at a local hospital before he was going to be extradited to Bexar County.
The arrest was a combined effort by the San Antonio Police Department, Texas Rangers and U.S. Marshals Office.
The suspect is accused of stabbing his wife, Lupe Paz Cavazos, multiple times during an argument at the Lambert Street Packing Plant, where the couple was employed. Several co-workers witnessed the incident.
The couple was married less than a year.
