Teen and Man Meet on MySpace

This man apparently met a 14-year-old boy online at MySpace.com and took it from there. I live in Honolulu, so this was very shocking for me to hear.

I believe MySpace.com is a dangerous place for kids. I hope more and more parents will become aware of what can happen to their children when they allow them to have a "MySpace". Even though I have heard so many bad things about MySpace.com, I am still shocked when I read articles like the one you linked.

I can't believe the nerve of these men--from the article:

"Colasacco was arrested late Sunday night after the boy's stepfather found him pretending to be asleep on the boy's bed, the affidavit said.

The boy told police that Colasacco arrived at the boy's house earlier that night and brought with him the magazines and the DVD video, the document said."

Shocking, yes? From what I've heard, the man went into the boy's room at like 1 A.M. and was pretending to be asleep when the dad came into the room. It's really scary that there are people like that out there.

The internet is dangerous for kids, period.

There was a local company that was trying to set itself up as a 100% "kid safe & kid friendly" ISP. Kids could go on it and parents would be secure knowing they wouldn't wander into porn, drugs, gambling, etc. Just as they were going in front of investors, one of the two guys involved was busted for child molestation/trafficking in child porn. God only knows what he was going to do with all that information re the kids signe up on the ISP.
