Richmond Toddler Critical After Two-Story Fall
A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition Wednesday morning after he fell from a second-story apartment window Tuesday afternoon, said Richmond police Lt. Mike Gormley.
Officers arrived at the first block of West MacDonald Avenue around 2:42 p.m. and found the boy suffering from a serious head injury, Gormley said.
Officers entered the apartment to investigate and found it to be "in real deplorable condition," Gormley said. Police said the boy was playing inside the house before he fell out the window.
The mother, 34, was arrested for child endangerment and the boys three siblings aged 4, 8 and 9 were removed from the home and placed in protective custody.
The apartment was in bad shape, according to police. There was "a lot of outdated and moldy food, a lot of filth," Gormley said.

Look at her eyes!
Doesn't it look like she's been beaten? She's so dark under her eyes that it makes you wonder. That poor little boy. I sure hope they keep those kids in protective custody, because it sounds like that mother shouldn't have them to begin with.
