Supporters and survivors of sexual abuse will plant more than 3,000 red flags on Vermont's statehouse lawn Tuesday. Each flag symbolizes someone who survived an assault in 2005.

The goal-- end the epidemic of sexual violence.

Monday night, the Burlington parole office and the Women's Rape Crisis Center held a community forum on sexual assault.

The problem-- no one went. It's a subject it seems no one wants to talk about-- but one experts say we can't ignore.

3,000!!! What the...! In Maine we only had 313 cases of sexual assault (for 2004: 286 successful, and 27 attempts not successful.), and we are bigger in terms of population.

Hi Q64ceo,
Thank-you for the post.
Imagine the amount that is unreported.
Also thanks for posting the stats for Maine.
