Tip Investigated In Oakland County Child Killer Case

Police: Man May Be Link In Case

A task force is working to bring evidence against the owner of the home, Randall Raar, 59, who they said may be linked to the Oakland County child killer case. Inside the home, police found letters written to serial killers, child *advertiser censored*, 8 mm film dating back to the 1970s, computer files and a sex slave dungeon equipped with shackles and a jail-like door that locked from the outside, Local 4 reported.

Raar is considered a link in the case, and a task force is currently collecting evidence to eliminate him as a suspect in the slaying of four area children.

The killings claimed the lives of Timothy King, 11, of Birmingham; Kristine Mihelich, 10, of Berkley; Jill Robinson, 12, of Royal Oak, and Mark Stebbins, 12, of Ferndale. Two of the children were sexually assaulted.

At the time, all four killings were believed to have been committed by one man, dubbed the Oakland County child killer. But investigators have recently said they think there may have been more than one killer.

Child killer link doubted
Man is being questioned, but officials in case have little hope. (relating to the article in my 1st post)

Photo's of the children w/article from last year.

More about the Oakland County Child Slayings - their murderer is aka known as "The Babysitter" - the websleuths forum because the children were held captive for several days.

Apparently, this killer was also known as the "the Babysitter" due to the fact that when the victims bodies were found they were recently bathed and their nails had been manicured etc. (probably to wipe away any evidence) and they were also well nourished, thus the nickname. What a horrible series of crimes upon such innocent kids. This world really makes me sick sometimes.

It doesn't look like this thread has been updated since 2006. Here is an article from 2007 about the trial:

I will look for more info on his possible connections to the OCCK case.
