TX - Douglas Sanchez for sexual assault of 13yo girl, Houston, 2004

Wow, put him in a cell with that little 5'1" shorty guy on the other thread, and throw away the key!!!

This may be the first time he's been caught, but I highly doubt it's the first time he's assaulted someone! Just think of how many young girls have been saved from this preditor!!

Sanchez, of the 4400 block of McKinney, went to the girl's home July 20, 2004, to install cable TV, police said. He returned that night while her mother was at a hospital and made advances toward the girl, according to a criminal complaint.

Sanchez then asked the girl to accompany him to the backyard, where he sexually assaulted her, authorities said.

A doctor at Texas Children's Hospital found that the girl had suffered trauma consistent with sexual assault, police said.

Sanchez was arrested the next day after he returned to the girl's home and told her mother he was going to finish the job he had started the night before.

The mother told police she was so angry that she picked up an iron bar and hit Sanchez.

From the Houston Chronicle
A man who had hoped for probation got a life prison sentence, instead, from a Harris County jury that convicted him of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

Gosh, a few more sentences like this might send a message.
There is no first time offender status for aggravated child molestation--just as there isn't for homicide, kidnapping and aggravated armed robbery. The idea i that there was a aggravating factor (violence, either real or implied) involved.

Way to go Texas!! Billygoatsgruff, is the first time aggravated child molestation sentence applicable to all states i.e, is it a federally mandated sentence? Just curious--because it should be.
