NY - Joanna Metz, 89, dies during burglary, Rochester, 13 April 1990

    An interesting felony murder case.

Obviously, at any random moment, the chance of a heart attack heart is miniscule. It sounds very much like her heart attack was highly likely to have stemmed from the burglary (proximate cause). I am puzzled as to why the jury did not agree.

Metz died of a heart attack as three burglars ransacked the Cypress Street home where she had lived since 1906.

That poor woman!! Plus she begged them for her heart medication before she collapsed! The jury may have found him not guilty but he's guilty as sin in my book and one day will have to answer for what he did.
