Hmm, I just did a Yahoo News search and NO one has anything on it except WND. Makes me wonder if their facts aren't very reliable. The media is still stupid as to what they cover, though, lol! :crazy:

I have one word as to why the media isn't all over this:

Immigration.

I wish I was wrong, but if it came to light (for all the masses to see) that terrorists really were sneaking into our country from mexico, believe me when I say that the MinuteMen would have instant chapers all over America. People don't see the leak in the boat until they're 1/2 under water.

There was mention of it on Court TV's news break, which made me go look it up.
Also, about 4 months ago I watched CSPAN and saw a senate hearing on the border security issues where sheriffs along the Rio Grande were describing armed men in camo coming across the border speaking what sounded like Arabic to extremely worried looking senators. I suspect this is why US troops are being sent to patrol the borders now.

Here's a list of web sites that covered the story, some actually at the time it occured. None--not one fo them--is from a major news source, which is really aggravating, since the info appears to have come from Senate Sub-Committee Hearings open to the press and public. So when the country was working itself into a froth over the immigration issue in April & May this little tidbit somehow never found its way to the headlines. Or even Page Two.
The mainstream media really stepped on their dingalings with this one. What? Are the damn transcripts from the hearings coming out? Is that why we're finally hearing about this now?

Another scary thing I heard today and it doesn't seem to be getting any press and its significant,that Iran was over in N.Korea observing when they were testing their missles. They are in bed togther.That is a lethal combo!

This information would terrify most of the country..if it got out.. Has anyone checked other new organizations outside of the US for this? It maybe publicized on BBC or some other non US based newsgroup..


this combined with the numerous tunnels that have been found recently.. makes me wonder when the attack will be.. not if...but when and where...
Anyone who beleives other wise is deluding themsleves and unfortunatly at the rate washington is going we are not really ever going to be truly prepared for a catestrophic attack.. our borders are far from safe. Scary as that maybe....

Sadly, being suckerpunched does not make some people aware that not only are they in a fight, but that the person who attacked them fights dirty. It's been 5 years since 9/11. I fear it's time for us to re-learn that lesson again.

sadly I think your correct.. time has dulled the senses of many...
 
Those of us that live in Texas have our eyes wide open about people crossing the border from Mexico. It is way too easy for people to come into this country. The minutemen are doing a service for all of America, not just Texas.

I know that the people in Mexico are suffering trying to support their families, but we the citizens of the U.S., cannot take the chances that we are taking. It wont be long and we will have people crossing that want to harm us.
 
I just read this thread and wanted to say it has, for many years, been a problem at the Mexican border, whether the border is in CA, AZ, NM, or TX. Middle Eastern men have been coming across, many look very hispanic and they speak Spanish fluently. For every one they catch, there is probably 20 that get across. This has been going on even before 9/11. Why is it not mentioned? It is amongst BP and local law enforcements - and I suppose the media knows but is it something we want to know about? Many people claim it is just lies to upset Americans - I believe it but not everyone does. Of course, I live next to the border.
