Case History
Los Angeles County Homicide Investigators are seeking the public's assistance in locating and identifying the females portrayed in photographs located during a search warrant of William Richard Bradford's residence.
The individuals portrayed in the photographs may have been victims of foul play between 1977 and 1984.
William Richard Bradford was convicted for double murder in 1984, and is currently on San Quentin's Death Row. Between 1977 and 1984, Bradford posed as a freelance photographer in the West Los Angeles area. He usually met females at car racing events and bars. He would eventually photograph females in sexually explicit positions, strangle them and dispose of their bodies in the northern Los Angeles deserts.
Twenty-six of those women are believed to be alive, sheriff's homicide Captain Ray Peavy said. He said the other two are believed to be a homicide victim and a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for years, but no additional details were immediately available.
