FL - Girl, 16, charged with trying to poison family

CRESTVIEW, Fla. A 16-year-old girl has been charged with trying to kill her family by feeding them a dessert she made with floor cleaner, authorities said.

The unidentified girl poured a 40-ounce bottle of the cleaner into a peanut butter cup dish and fed it to her mother, father and brother Wednesday about 7 p.m., according to Crestview Police Lt. Jamie Grant.

"(The father) told the wife while he was eating it that it tasted like Spic and Span (floor cleaner), but he went ahead and ate it anyway," Grant said.

The girl has been charged with three counts of attempted murder. She was being held at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice detention facility in Crestview

I was reading about this also and almost posted it.

Luckily one of her brothers did not eat the dessert.
What made her do this I wonder. Is she going to claim they were mean to her or that she is just crazy? She really sounds like a psychopath who does not feel for anyone but themselves.

I know this isn't funny, but I had to laugh.

"It tasted like Spic'n Span, but I ate it anyway"

    Only Daddy would do that.

Got a little bit of the Aileen Wournos thing going. Do it and then defend yourself with platitudes.

40 ounces She must have made a big ole desert! Wonder what her excuse was for not eating it? Boy that girl is in some big trouble...3 counts of attempted murder. She'll be gone for many a year.

Lesson of the day....if you plan to murder your family don't tell your friend what you've done

Anyone know the condition of the family members? I imagine they have one heck of a stomach ache...

I so thought the same thing!!
MY husband would without a doubt eat it anyhow. Being kind to the dad though maybe he did not want to hurt the girls feelings?

I however, would have unwittingly killed my dogs whom I would have fed it to when daughter turned away.
