I have been reading about this for several days but nobody has put it on here. It has been on my mind a lot this weekend. I think it is so cruel for someone to do this to a person who has nothing and did nothing to them. How cruel can people be? If this has already been on here and I missed it, I am sorry and will delete it.

How horrible for the man who tried to save her. At one point, he must have had to make the decision to let go or drown. He's going to have nightmares over that decision point for many years to come. :-(

I swear when those people are caught they need to be horse whipped in town!!!! Then sent to their deaths! That is just freaking wrong!!!:furious:

I saw on the news a few months back where people were beating the homeless and it was caught on tape. It made my stomach sick because they showed the tape on the news I had to turn the channel eventually because I couldnt handle it. I don't understand why the value of life has to do with rich or poor. Human beings are human beings. This really makes me mad and I would just like to say to these types of people that they should always remember that God IS watching!

It's nice to know people have taken notice and are showing this woman that some humans still have a shred of decency.

How have there come to be so many unbelievably cruel people on our earth? I hope they are caught and put down; they are utterly useless to our society!

Why would this be 2nd degree murder? They intentially threw her into the river while she was sleeping, what did they think was going to happen? This poor woman, no one deserves this. :( I bet they have trolled around before this tormenting the homeless.

From October 2007:

A Lebanon man who police said pushed a sleeping homeless woman in the Cumberland River last year pleaded guilty to second-degree murder... Timothy Webber will serve 17 years in prison.

Josh Dotts, who has maintained all along he didn't push the woman in the water, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of facilitation of second-degree murder. He will have to serve a minimum 30 percent of his eight-year sentence.
