The ransom note pages were torn from a pad/tablet of paper found in the Ramsey kitchen. Pages 1-12 were missing; pages 13-16 had miscellaneous household writings and doodles; pages 17-25 were missing; page 26 was attached & had "Mr and Mrs I" written at the top in felt tip pen; and the ransom note was written in felt tip pen on pages 27, 28 & 29, which had also been torn out of the pad.
Steve Thomas wrote in his book pp73-74:
"...the ink bleedthrough discovered on page 26 indicated that perhaps still another practice note could have been written on page 25 (the page with only Mr and Mrs I written at the top) and had been discarded. Two possible practice notes and one real one covering three pages led me to believe that the killer had spent more time in the house composing the ransom note than we had originally thought."
Notice that Thomas used "perhaps" and "could have" rather than positives. So,if Karr wrote something on the missing page 25 of the pad, and if he could remember what he'd written, it might be possible to determine from the bleedthrough on page 26 a confirmation of what he claimed to have written on page 25.
On the other hand, the bleedthrough might not be related to writing of the ransom note on pages 27, 28, and 29 at all. As far as I know, any words that might have been able to be deciphered from the bleedthrough have never been revealed to the public, including the forums which usually glean much more info that the public notices through the media.
