A high school teacher is in jail, accused of molesting a child. The teacher was arrested late Wednesday afternoon in Henry County.

Detectives say the found out about the case on Monday afternoon, but say they did not have enough evidence to make an arrest until Wednesday.

51-year-old biology teacher Nolan Maddox, a teacher at Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy is now out of a job and behind bars, charged with child molestation.

“The victim in this case, was not a child that attended that school,” said Lt. Jason Bolton of the Henry County Police Department. “And the molestation did not happen in that location either.”

Police say the molestations happened at his McDonough home, where Maddox lives with his parents. They say the molestations occurred over a five-year period, beginning with a 6-year-old girl. Investigators say they ended when the girl was 12.
